Tom was a 1958 graduate of RLHS and Rice Lake’s all-time career leading scorer in basketball with 1090 points, including 425 points during his senior year. Tom holds the record for the most points scored in a tournament basketball game for Rice Lake with 44 points in a win over the Luck Cardinals in March of 1958. He scored 65 points in the two games, a Warrior record for two sectional games or any two post-season tournament games. He went on to play basketball at Ripon College.
