Kody Novinska

2025

Kody graduated in 2012 from Rice lake High School. He received nine letters in three sports, which included four in hockey. He was chosen by the WHCA as the 2012 Wisconsin High School Player of the Year, also known as 'Mr Hockey'. He scored a school record of 228 career points for the Warriors, breaking the school record of 215 points held for thirty years by Todd Geisness. He was team captain for three years and First Team All-State in his sophomore, junior and senior years in hockey. In football, Kody was Captain and a two year starter at quarterback. He rushed for 1,528 yards in 2010 for a Warrior record, and was named Big Rivers Player of the Year in 2010. Kody graduated from UW-La Crosse and presently teaches Phy Ed and Health at Frederic High School. He is also head coach of the varsity hockey team. Kody and his wife Abby reside in Osceola, Wisconsin.
